The congregation was small, with approximately 25 members in the beginning, but grew quickly through the outreach ministries of door-to-door evangelism, Community Fun Day BBQs, and the strong preaching of God’s Word.

The Living Word Baptist Church (TLWBC) was founded in January 2011 after the Lord gave Pastor Jeff Threat a vision to plant a church in the local Lawrenceville community. The church had its initial planning meeting on January 16th and first Sunday service on January 30, 2011 at 675 Buford Drive. The original location was in a shopping center storefront located in a suite that was formerly a Bible bookstore.
In the spring of 2012, the Lord sent Pastor Jonas Chambliss Sr. to assist in the ministry and oversee the day to day operations of the church. Pastor Jeff and Pastor Jonas truly have hearts for God and worked tirelessly and selflessly to minister to individuals and families in need. As a result, God continued to bless the ministry and added to the church. Due to the spiritual and numerical growth, TLWBC began to seek a more permanent location.
TLWBC moved to 3706 Loganville Hwy. in Loganville, Georgia in the spring of 2013. The Lord provided a great facility with room to grow on almost 7 acres! Again, utilizing the outreach ministries of door-to-door evangelism, Community Fun Day BBQs, and teaching and preaching the Word of God with boldness, Jesus continued to provide the increase by sending families from the community to join in the fellowship and ministry.
Today, our work continues as we strive to reach people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and teach believers to keep their eyes on Jesus and Jesus only! We welcome you to join us on this most incredible and amazing journey!
