Pastor Jeff Threat

January 1, 1995 marked the beginning of a new year and a new life for Pastor Jeff, as he accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. The Word took root immediately in his life as he began to serve his church in a variety of capacities from church improvement projects to community outreach.

Pastor Jeff was ordained as a deacon in 1997 at Beaver Ruin Road Baptist Church in Lilburn, GA. The Lord continued to lead Pastor Jeff down the road of church leadership, and Pastor Jeff was ordained as a Minister by Dr. Al Cox and Reverend Roland Bodley in 2004. From there he continued to progress in his ministry, delivering his first sermon , “Heaven is Paradise and Hell is Hot” as the Interim Pastor. In 2011, the Lord began to move in Jeff, prompting him to plant a new church to reach more people in the Lawrenceville-area for the glory of God.

Pastor Jeff Threat lives in Lawrenceville, GA with his wife, Rebecca, where they enjoy serving The Living Word Baptist Church and the surrounding community. The Lord has blessed Pastor Jeff with a beautiful family that includes three adult children, their spouses and 11 grandchildren.

Pastor Jonas Chambliss, Sr.

Jonas Chambliss is a born again, baptized believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. He loves the Lord with all his heart and has continued to follow the Lord throughout his life because the Lord’s faithfulness. Pastor Jonas is married to Victoria Yvette Chambliss, and they have four daughters, Yvette, Sharde’ Arielle, Janay and one son, Jonas Jamar Chambliss Jr.

At age 10, he accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal savior and was baptized on July 31, 1991 at Pilgrim Progress Baptist Church in New Orleans, Louisiana. After living in New Orleans for many years, and as a result of Hurricane Katrina, he relocated to Georgia with his family. The Lord led him to visit Beaver Ruin Road Baptist Church in Lilburn, GA in 2005. As he and his family continued to attend service, Jonas was called on to use his God-given gifts and talents and was invited to join the music ministry as the drummer. Jonas would later learn that playing the drums was not the only plan that God had for his life. After a year of membership at Beaver Ruin Road Baptist Church, his faithfulness in the ministry was recognized, and Pastor Jonas was offered the role of full-time Youth Pastor in 2006.

In 2007, God revealed to him the calling into the ministry to preach and teach the gospel of our Lord. In obedience, Pastor Jonas was ordained as a Minister on April 15, 2007 to preach the gospel. In the Spring of 2012, the Lord sent Pastor Jonas Chambliss Sr. to assist in the ministry and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Living Word Baptist Church.

Pastor Jeff and Pastor Jonas truly have hearts for God and worked tirelessly and selflessly to minister to individuals and families in need. As a result, God continues to bless the ministry and add to the church.
